I won’t fully understand how it feels like being black in America, or how any dark skin person feels like in any situation. It’s been devastating reading and watching whats happening in the States. Without black music and art the world will be devoid of soul. I hurt but will never understand your hurt. My heart and prayer goes out to the black community. ��This is a mindful exercise by one of my inspiration, @januarylow.��If you are feeling heavy, I encourage you to take some time off for yourself. Even if its just 5mins. To release this heavy energy (should you feel any), as we start to be more aware of ourselves and the changes we can do in our own lives to for the betterment of people around us and our next generation. In between it all, to find gratitude in breathing and movement. ��Instructions from January:�“Inhale. Exhale. Hold your breath. Exert. Close your eyes and use something to lean on. I love the Superstar for the way it radiates as a classic icon; pioneering the connecting of dots between hip-hop and sneaker culture. . The legendary shell-toe earned its place in history when Run-DMC dropped their hit single “My adidas” in 1986. . My first wide eye moment however was Missy Elliot’s “Gossip Folks” music video. The female dancers had their three stripes jacket on and Superstar on their feet. I wanted to own a pair then, and I still feel the same now. . The reason why we’re able to celebrate Superstar’s timelessness and longevity is because of its versatility. For over 50 years now, it’s worked with any outfit, in any room, for any occasion. .
